Ethics: Connecting back to art education.
For the final project in this course I am exploring the possibility of having representatives present in a large scale art museum that will be available for visitors to discuss with about concepts in the art seen.
Social Theory: Introducing, constructing and destructing everything... Oh and reading. (Theory got two sentences because it's that awesome.)
For Theory, I am creating a painting that represents the concept of trust in education. It is large scale in order to cover as much of the topic as possible and have many routes for the viewer to explore.
CyberPedagogy: Reminder of how behind I am in technology, but also becoming aware of a plethora of new resources and how to find new ones.
For the final project in this class, my group has compiled information on the best ways for the museum to communicate with educators and others. The key items that we have found is that there is no best platform to use that will magically allow for open communication to happen, but rather it is the accessibility or involvement of the representatives of the museum that harbor conversation.
Art History: Some days are drawn out but Yood comes across some really interesting aspects of art history that I may have never thought of.
No final project needed...YAY!
Society for Contemporary Art Internship: 'Excel-ing' anything and everything, mail-merging, enveloping, and museum office work.
Chicago Children's Museum Internship: Finding how my art education background can be used in a wide variety of areas that was never made knowledgeable to me before. In such things as: Designing and Creating portions of exhibits, creating lesson plans for special events, teaching art lessons, researching for exhibition teams, compiling summaries of adaptability found through out the museum and especially in the art studio for visitors that require them.

TRUST
Somehow i ended up really liking this idea of trust in schools. What I would like from everyone if you can is your own experience with trust in schools. This can either be trust you felt from the schools you have been involved with, or it can be your experience with not being trusted (if you feel comfy telling me about it.) I feel that I need more actual first hand experiences under my belt in understanding the idea of trust and its many facets. Thanks if you can!

Comparing and Contrasting Museums
When I said I wanted to become more involved with a museum, i didn't realize that I would I have put myself smack dab in the middle of two completely different museum settings.
On one side I have the very guarded and elite art museum... and then on the other I have the children's museum who has their own structure, but it is so much more fluid (and I would have to say more energetic).
Of course I can not ignore the fact that the there is a huge difference in who attends the museum which will completely alter the overall environment or structure of the museum.
So lets imagine what could happen if we place visitors from the Children's Museum (including the parents/guardians) and had them visit the Art Institute. And at the same time had everyone that visited the Art institute go to the Children's museum. What will happen? We can make some obvious assumptions... possibly. And actually I think maybe I'll open my comment box and ask what you think would happen. I am aware that some of you have not visited the Children's Museum, but really its not that hard to imagine what the children's museum is like.
